The Nashville, TN, bottling facility works with one of the world’s largest beverage and food companies. The 180,000 square foot building also houses food and beverage distribution.
OBJECTIVE
Bird-related problems had plagued the beverage company for years, compromising food safety.
- Entrenched birds had built nests and left droppings.
- Their current pest control company tried and failed to remove or control the entry of the nuisance birds.
- This partner’s Operations Leader was shopping at a home improvement store and asked the store manager how they got their store bird-free. The manager referred the Operations Leader to Meridian Bird Removal.
SOLUTION
A Meridian team of three BRTs captured all on-site birds.
- Three Bird Removal Technicians (BRTs) from three states met at the Nashville location to tackle the job.
- They deployed Meridian’s patented Bird-N-Free live capture system to effectively remove seven house sparrows who had taken up residence inside the facility.
- Due to the size of the building, the BRT spent six hours capturing the birds and inspecting the facility.
RESULTS
Meridian was able to make the distribution center bird-free in more than a year, with no birds spotted since the visit.
- The satisfied Operations Leader was “thrilled”. He signed Meridian as an approved partner and referred Meridian to other facilities in the region.
