While Meridian has worked with other stores in the chain, this was the first service call to the Cave Creek, AZ, location. Multiple birds had taken up residence inside the building.
OBJECTIVE
Find and remove all birds and nests.
-
The store staff was battling the whole range of bird problems: droppings, destroyed inventory, and harassed customers.
-
The store sells animal feed, and birds pecking open bags and spilling feed created a customer experience nightmare.
-
The store managers reported numerous birds, but were unable to provide an accurate count.
SOLUTION
Meridian used its patented Bird-N-Free system to capture
66 total birds and remove 10 nests.
- Technician Angela M. identified most of the birds as Eurasian collared doves, capturing 54 of them, along with 12 English house sparrows, the most common nuisance bird in the USA.
- Meridian also found and removed 10 nests inside the building.
- Angela M. then proceeded to conduct a facility inspection, which included checking hidden corners for birds or nests.
RESULTS
The store now had no birds inside and prevention tips.
-
After nearly 12 hours, Meridian was confident all birds were gone from the interior.
-
The store was advised to keep doors closed, especially the door to the feed room, to cut off the primary attraction to birds.
